After a long winter when the days were shorter, the temperatures colder and the trees and ground appeared barren, spring is a welcome change. The branches and twigs and even the cold brown earth, come alive with a variety of color.
For me, spring is a yearly reminder that things are not always as they appear. Things might appear to be dead, but all the while life is still happening. I am glad that God does not view people the way that we often do. We can often make the mistake of thinking there is no “spiritual life” within an individual. But God is able to see the heart. God is able to see that very soon, what appears to be barren will soon blossom into beautiful color.
As you enjoy the flowers of this season remember that God sees the beauty in each one of us as well.
